A glimpse at Quincy Jones’s new documentary is finally here for all to see. The documentary titled , Quincy , is directed by his daughter Rashida Jones. 

The trailer captures great and challenging times of the musical genius’s life. In his early life , Quincy had aspirations of wanting to be a gangster. But by the age of 14, that quickly changed. Quincy states that “music was the one thing that offered freedom.”

The trailer shows notable entertainment figures such as Paul McCartney, Will Smith, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and Oprah speaking highly of Quincy Jones. He has inspired many artists in the music industry. Dr.Dre mentions Quincy as his “ultimate mentor and inspiration.”

Quincy premieres on Netflix , September 21.
