Nicki Minaj sat down with Funk Flex on Tuesday for an 80-minute interview on Hot 97. During the radio show, the two discussed their differences and finally ended them for good.

“You weren’t seeing eye to eye with me. I had no clue what you were mad at…,” Nicki told Flex, who “backed off his criticism from April and said Minaj had proven him wrong,” according to Complex.

Nicki Minaj also said that she felt some of Flex’s previous comments were unwarranted attacks.

“It felt more than about my music,” Minaj said. “I don’t know why, but for some reason, and I notice it a lot with people from New York or on New York radio, it seems like, when they have an issue with me, it’s more than just music.”

Flex then clarified he wasn’t giving warranted attacks, but that he just felt she had previously gotten “lazy” with her music.

Besides hashing out their problems , Nicki and Flex also discussed other things including double standards in hiphop and Safaree discrediting her for writing her own music. They even touched base on JAY-Z‘s advice about being held to a “higher accountability” as a successful person, her new album, and more. Catch the full interview below.
