Another new music Friday and some more new artists you should get familiar with. Two artists have been behind the scenes working and are ready for their shine, two are ready to show you what they’ve got. Get into these new artists and let us know what you think.

Artist: NSTASIA

Track: Parachute (Stripped)

Hot Take: Having written for the likes of Major Lazer, Usher & Beyoncé, her first foray into the spotlight as a feature artist came with her debut project “New Religion” in 2017. This year she has released the stripped acoustic version and singles such as “Parachute” stand out with their folk flare. NSTASIA’s voice literally glitters over the track and flirts with the guitar spotlight towards the end. One you don’t want to miss.

Artist: Trevor Jackson

Track: Right Now

Hot Take: Between a starring role on ABC’s breakfast club-esque Black-ish spinoff Grownish and numerous movie spots including the upcoming Future-soundtracked Superfly remake, Trevor is booked and busy. Like his costars ChloexHalle, he’s found a way into the studio to drop a new project and its as solid as R&B comes these days. “Right Now” is one of the more well crafted songs on the project and rivals industry vets

Artist: Seinabo Sey

Track: I Owe You Nothing

Hot Take: An opus to reclaiming your time and body. You don’t owe anyone anything, to a thumping progressive soundtrack. The sparse prechorus choral breaks add an additional level of complexity to this song.

Artist: Saya

Track: Paid (ft. Kris)

Hot Take:  A fun track from an artist that has made a way fusing soul, pop & funk. “Paid” sees Says joined by rapper Kris proclaiming a perfect version of a relationship that teeters on the Bonnie & Clyde side of things versus the Michelle & Barack.
