The Breakfast Club is one of the biggest radio shows on the planet. The show is hosted by Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee & DJ Envy. DJ Envy started off the interview immediately confronting their guests, comedy duo, Desus & Mero about a joke made towards Envy’s wife, Gia.

“You insinuated that she was only there for the check, on your show. My wife has known me since 15, before I had a dollar. She’s making more money than me. So to insinuate that she was there for a check or she was good with Envy’s check, is a disrespect to me and her.” – DJ Envy

The Viceland pair were still confused until the clip was brought to the surface of Desus & Mero’s show. Recently Envy & Gia sat down with the hosts of daytime talk show, The Real. DJ Envy expressed, “I was Raashaun at home but on the streets, I was DJ Envy,” to which his Gia added, “I didn’t know DJ Envy.” While watching the clip on their Viceland show, Desus responded “But you knew them DJ Envy checks though.”

Desus & Mero apologized and insisted the remark was a joke. However the popular disc jockey refused to settle down with apologies as he continued to stress the importance of keeping all of that away from his family. There is no footage of Envy leaving the room, but the interview continues with Charlamagne and Angela Yee.
