Today Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs announced his $200k donation to support the Unforgettable healthcare campaign, a MAMA HOPE and Global Citizen led initiate that has already contributed to the expansion of the Suubi “Hope” Health Center in Uganda.

This follows French Montana and The Weeknd for a total of $400K to help bring maternal health care to a community of 300,000 people in rural Budondo, Uganda. In partnership with MAMA HOPE, French has helped to support the build of a prenatal care clinic, staff housing, a birth house, the first floor of the main hospital and purchase of a new ambulance for the community of Suubi, lifted through his song “Unforgettable” that was shot in Uganda featuring Swae Lee.

The launch of Diddy’s PSA is to celebrate and continue the great strides made in Uganda and to announce future plans in Morocco. French plans on expanding his philanthropic efforts to Morocco, the country he emigrated from at the age of 13, with the release of his music video “Famous.” With the intention of bringing hope to children and families, French announced his Global Citizen partnership in May and continues to champion their global #2BSTRONG campaign by taking action to make child and maternal health a priority.

This global initiative all started with the discovery of 9 children from Uganda’s the Triplet Ghetto Kids when French went on a trip to Kampala to film the “Unforgettable” visuals and his documentary Project Unforgettable: “My Project, Their Reality,” where he met the Triplet Ghetto Kids and their community and fell in love.

Since returning home from Uganda and partnering with MAMA HOPE, French launched his global #Unforgettable Healthcare Campaign and created buzz around his initiative by creating a call-to-action with the release of the “Unforgettable” music video backed by strong celebrity participants like Drake, Snoop Dogg, Ryan Seacrest, and more yielding 400 million impressions and accumulating over 500 million views – this turning a calling of French’s into a viral social campaign.
