A little over a year ago, Chance the Rapper was Saturday Night Live’s musical guest. This weekend, the Chicago native made his SNL hosting debut which followed with an ode to Barack Obama with Chance’s new song “Come Back, Barack.”

During his opening monologue, the 24-year-old rapper declared he wants to be the “Mariah Carey of Thanksgiving,” going on to sing a hilarious holiday-themed song and further solidify his new reputation as the face and voice of Thanksgiving, all while being thankful for the coins the seasonal hit single could bring in.

As for his new song “Come Back, Barack,” he was joined by Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd. The Boyz II Men-style song was about how much they are missing the 44th president almost one year into 45’s first term.

“Every night I turn the TV on and cry, and I cry, and I cry, I say why, I feel like we’re all gonna die,” the three sing. “I’m in hell, dreaming about you and Michelle,” the song continues. “We didn’t know just what we had. Now things are looking bad. Like really bad, like World War bad, like nuclear bad.” they sang, with Chance adding, “When I think of change, the only change I want is you!”

Take a look at Chance the Rapper’s opening monologue and a handful of other skits from Saturday Night Live below.
