Drake’s Record-Breaking 430 Weeks On The Billboard Hot 100 Has Ended
by Staff Editor
Drake did something that no other artist has ever done when he set and then broke his record for the longest consecutive streak of having at least one song on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Well, after 430 weeks (eight years, two months and 23 days), Drizzy Drake no longer has any songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, effectively ending his record-breaking streak.
On May 23, 2009, Drake made his Billboard Hot 100 debut with his classic track “Best I Ever Had” and since that week, there’s been at least one Drake song in that top 100. This past week, Drake had “Passionfruit” and “Signs” at #82 and #100 respectively, but with those two slipping down and off the charts, there’s officially no Drake songs on this week of the Billboard Hot 100.
Despite the streak coming to an end, Drake deserves immense recognition for this incredible feat. Congrats, Drizzy! We’d be willing to bet that he’ll be back on the Hot 100 in no time.
Drake is not present on the Hot 100 for the first time since his debut (5/23/09), ending a 430 week streak of continuous charting.
