The speculation can be put to rest – Jay Z will officially be dropping his brand new 4:44 album at the end of this month on June 30th.

Following last night’s “Adnis” commercial, which previewed new music from Jay Z, TIDAL, Sprint and of course Hov made the official announcement that the cryptic 4:44 promo is in fact for a brand new Jay Z album.

Here’s what Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure had to say:

“Today is an exciting day to be a Sprint customer,” said Marcelo Claure, Sprint president and CEO. “JAY-Z is a global icon and we’re giving customers an incredible opportunity to be among the first to experience his new album 4:44. Our loyal, existing customers, and customers who switch to Sprint, can experience the album exclusively, plus access a complimentary six-month trial of TIDAL HiFi, giving them access to content they can’t get anywhere else.”

Sprint and TIDAL users will have exclusive and early access to the 4:44 project, as expected per Hov/TIDAL’s recent partnership with the mobile network.
