If we were to dive back into 2016 there wasn’t much talk about anyone being able to hear Tha Carter V other than Martin Shkreli, allegedly. The change in the calendar year may have brought some faith in hearing the project as Birdman states the album is “Definitely Coming Out.”

Appearing on Travis Scott and Chase B’s .wav radio show on Beats 1, the Cash Money frontman talked about topics ranging from how his imprint began to the upcoming film about the label but what will perk the ears of hip-hop fans is the belief that the album will indeed be released.

“It’s definitely coming out,” Birdman said. The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward. Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing.

There you have it. The Carter V will come out. Let’s not forget that Weezy also stated that Dedication 6 and another project titled The Funeral are also in the chamber. The sad part about this news at the top of the year is we have no idea when! Let’s just hope it’s soon. Take a listen to Birdman below.
