And just like that, things just got a little bit more interesting. Yesterday, J. Cole had the internet ablaze due to new music that was premiered via his “Eyez” documentary. Among the new music, many fans of Hip-Hop speculated that the North Carolina rapper took aim at Kanye West & Wale. Now, the DMV rapper is holding true to the traditions of Hip-Hop and is speaking his mind as he fires back off on his new track, “Groundhog Day.”

Demanding some respect, but taking an approach that may come as a surprise to some, Wale lays it all out on the line. Noting that J. Cole’s words hit home due to some truth, at the end of the day it’s still all love between the fellow rappers. Perhaps not being the response that many fans might have expected, it will be interesting to see how it all further unfolds in the long run.
