The Gospel of Ike Turn Up: My Side of the Story has served as Nick Cannon’s public way of sharing his vulnerable side.

According to his interview with Billboard, being influenced by Lawerence Fishburn’s role as Ike Turner in What’s Love Got To Do with It, Nick found it vital to explain himself and actions to fans. Rather than going the social media route, Nick decided to go with his passion: music.
