UPDATE: Looks like Wayne has some regrets about his comments on #BlackLivesMatter in his recent interview with Nightline. He tells TMZ, “When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a b*tch and a h*e, I got agitated. From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses.” He adds, “Apologies to anyone who was offended.”

That’s understandable, however, is Wayne still in the wrong? Or are his actions forgiven? Let us know what you think.

Original Story:

Lil Wayne has ruffled some feathers after his recent appearance on ABC’s Nightline where he gave quite a telling interview. Especially when asked about the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

“What is it? What do you mean?,” a confused Wayne says when asked about his connection to BLM. “That just sounds weird, I don’t know that you put a name on. It’s not a name…It’s not ‘whatever, whatever.’ It’s somebody got shot by police for a f***ed up reason.”

He continues to say that based on his life experiences and the things/people he’s come across, he doesn’t know how people can think that black lives don’t matter. “I am a young black rich motherf***er, if that don’t let you know that America understand black motherf***ers matters these days I don’t know what it is.” He adds, “That man white, he filming me I’m a ni**a. I don’t know what you don’t come to me with that dumb sh*t ma’am. My life matters, especially to my bi**hes.”

After that, Wayne was visibly upset about the politically-charged questions and decided to end the interview abruptly.

Were Wayne’s comments insensitive, or justified? Watch the interview below and tell us your thoughts.
