One of the newer stars out of Atlanta that’s starting to buzz hard is Ralo. The rapper’s already got relationships with some of the ATL’s top guys at the moment, including Young Thug, who he’s known for quite some time. After linking with Thugger at a video shoot for Thug’s Slime Season 2 track “Big Racks,” a new song titled “Flexing On Purpose” was birthed.

Lil Uzi Vert was already on the track with Thug, adding some fuel behind it, and to cap off the new heater, XXL Freshman and fellow ATLien 21 Savage was brought on board thanks to Shy Glizzy. Ralo explains:

“The song came together at Young Thug video shoot for ‘Big Racks.’ Thug asked me to be in the video and Lil Uzi was on the song,” Ralo explained to Complex via email. “I’ve known Thug for years, growing up in Atlanta and we reconnected on the music tip. Thug introduced me to Lil Uzi and we chopped it about doing a record.”

He continued, “I connected with 21 through Shy Glizzy.” Adding, “When Shy comes to Atlanta he’ll come to my crib. One day he brought 21 Savage through and the rest is history.”

Nothing like getting insight on how tracks come together. Very intriguing to say the least.

Listen to Complex’s premiere of “Flexing On Purpose” below and keep your eye out for Ralo who’s got a lot in store to end out this year.
