Nick Cannon is one of the most successful and creative entertainers this generation has ever seen. From starring in a ton of movies, to hosting his own shows and programs, in addition to his endless entrepreneurial ventures, there isn’t much this mogul hasn’t achieved yet.

Over the last couple of weeks, the media has ran several stories insinuating that Nick is trying to hold up the divorce between him and ex-wife Mariah Carey, which Nick has since said isn’t true. Rumors continue to swirl, however, and Nick has decided to address things the best way he knows how — through art.

Many people can’t address things through art, instead, they are concerned about getting the right representation as divorcing someone can be a pretty big process to go through. Lawyers that you would find at SimonAttorneys.com, might be the right ones for you, it is always best to do your research and look around for the preferred ones that can take your case. You may not be as high profile as Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, but you still deserve to get the the best defense.

Today, the superstar liberates KarenCivil.com the exclusive premiere of his brand new freestyle “Divorce Papers” where he touches on just about everything surrounding the divorce, the recent passing of his father, raising his children and more.

Here’s what Nick had to say:

My purpose for creating this “Divorce Papers” freestyle was not to feed the tabloid chatter, or even to diffuse it. This was strictly a creative way for me to express my frustrations with the media, the naysayers, myself and ultimately with the voices in my head. One late night in my studio, after hearing the recent accusations against me and my character, I turned on my drum machine, found this amazing Willie Hutch sample, looped it, and went into the booth and let it all out. It felt great!

I’ve been sitting on the song for almost a week now because I was really torn on whether or not I should release it. The last thing I would ever want to do is add fuel to the fire, especially a fire that was fabricated by the press. But, ultimately I felt it was necessary to clear the air and set the record straight once and for all.

My Ex and I are in a great place and are diligently moving things along so we both can continue to be happy. I am happy for her and all her new endeavors, both personal ones and professional ones. I sincerely hope the media doesn’t once again try to manipulate my words or my purpose for releasing this song. As the world knows, I am an open book and I’m proud of that. When it comes to expressing myself, I take the fearless approach and that’s what I chose to do here.

As Father’s Day approaches this weekend, I’ve been reflecting quite a bit on my life as a father and how I want to be the best one I can be, the way my father figures were to me. So with that said, I just ask that the public continues to respect our process and remain patient and loving as me and my family aim for happiness.

Outside of music and entertainment, and in the middle of this fabricated controversy, Nick’s continued to be a help to several different people. Following her suicide scare, Nick made sure he reached out to singer Kehlani almost immediately after to offer support and assistance if she needed anything.

Just last month, Nick also partnered with JPMorgan Chase to launch the America’s Teen Mogul (ATM) Summit and Student Business Plan Competition, an initiative to give young entrepreneurs from age 12-19 opportunities in the entertainment and middle-sector job world they wouldn’t otherwise have.

With that being said, take a listen to the exclusive premiere of Nick Cannon’s new freestyle “Divorce Papers” and let us know what you think.

  1. Nick Cannon Archives says:

You should correct that as it was his grandfather who passed away NOT his father.
