UPDATE 2: Troy has released the video for his diss track. Check it out below.

UPDATE Troy Ave has called into the Sway In The Morning show to discuss the diss, the origin of it, and why he said the things he said about Joey and Capital Steez. Let’s just say he’s not letting up one bit. Listen below.

Original Story:

Troy Ave is fed up after Joey Bada$$ had a few things to say in his new single “Ready,” which dropped about a week ago. In the song, Joey mocks Troy’s low album sales for his debut album and laughs at the fact that Pro Era artist Kirk Knight outsold him.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, Troy fires back with a very direct and far from friendly diss track titled “Bad Ass” produced by Yankee. Troy also has some things to say about the late Capital Steez, which we assume Joey won’t take lightly.

In addition to the track, Troy went to Instagram last night with sort of an explanation as to why the track came out, as well as a warning shot telling Joey “You Not Ready.”

Check it all out below.
