Yasiin Bey, who many may also know as Mos Def, made headlines this past week when it was reported that he was arrested for having a false passport.

Since then, many have shown concern for the rapper, and now he is finally speaking out on the incident, which he started off in true rap form.

The hip hop veteran spit an epic freestyle over the phone while in Cape Town, which was released via Kanye West’s own personal site.

In the freestyle, Yasiin thanks Kanye West for “being a real friend,” and repeatedly says “no more parties in SA, please.”

The rapper even reveals that the country is threatening to deport his family, and that he may be retiring from the music industry and Hollywood.

From what it also sounds like, he may even be releasing his last album sometime in this year, which he says “that’s that.”

Hopefully Yasiin Bey can get this cleared up and get back home along with his family. Listen to the full recording here.
