It’s been awhile since New York City has seen the live sounds of the Snowman, and last night (September 12), they were given all the praise they could need. Jeezy spent his first release hours for his Church In These Streets album at the Highline Ballroom, performing for a sold out crowd. It was definitely a show meant for true Jeezy supporters, as the doors opened at midnight, with the Snowman hitting the stage around 2 A.M. The late time, however, didn’t stop fans from greeting the man of the hour with high energy and hyped up vibes. As whispers of possible guests went around the venue, with some photographers even confirming the attendance of big names, fans were soon reminded that Pastors do their best work on the solo tip. That’s exactly what happened that evening, as Pastor Young took to the stage by himself, only to be accompanied by the sounds of DJ Drama on the one’s and two’s.

Jeezy came out with a bang, as he so normally does during his performances, doing some of the joints off of his new album that had freshly dropped. While fans were getting a taste of some of the new material that hadn’t been heard yet, the Southern rapper made sure to also perform “GOD,” which was his first single off the project earlier this year. Of course, his fans were ecstatic to be able to rap along. Just a couple tracks later, and Jeezy was ready to take us back to the beginning, starting off his familiar songs the right way with “Standing Ovation.” The energy in the room was completely unmatched, as Jeezy got us into his TM 101 element, performing tracks like “Bang,” “Get Ya Mind Right,” and “Trap Or Die.” He even surprised fans by performing some of his fan favorite cuts, including the Boyz N Da Hood signature track, “Dem Boyz,” as well as his infamous verse on Fabo’s “Geeked Up,” which completely set the venue off.
