Justin Bieber is one of many artists expected to drop an album next week on November 13th. The young crooner has had a whirlwind of a year getting back on his feet and his upcoming album Purpose is expected to officially, and fully, revive his career.

Adding to the list of accolades during this campaign, Bieber has just covered the latest edition of Billboard Magazine. The accompanying cover story focuses much on what almost ruined Bieber, and what it was specifically that got him out of his funk and back on the charts.

“I came out alive. I came out swinging. But I was close to letting fame completely destroy me,” Bieber tells Billboard. He adds, “I’m just focused on the people who have been there since the start, on people who are taking the journey now. I want them to feel like we’re doing this together.”
