It’s safe to say that the music game has shifted its sound greatly over the years, and while artists have come and gone, many songwriters and producers have been able to keep up with the trends. That’s where those with a special kind of ear, talent, and passion come in, such as the legendary Bryan Michael Cox.

The producer and songwriter has a long history in the music business, and while his name might most commonly attached to R&B, he’s got plenty of credits in hip hop, and even jazz. His ability to make consecutive hit records, and adapt to the transitions in music have kept B. Cox at an advantage over the years.

The veteran producer is responsible for creating the style and sounds of a lot of our favorite artists. He’s helped to form the beginning signature sound of Chris Brown, working heavily on his debut self-titled album, and has even guided veteran artists, such as Joe, to keep their genuine R&B vibe.

“Chris Brown has always been an incredible talent. We had a really, really incredible connection early,” he revealed in our Civil Interview. From crafting hits such as Usher’s “Burn,” it would be near impossible for music fans to overlook his extravagant list of work.
