Iman: It was during the playoffs actually. ‘Twas May 22nd and a day that we will never forget!

How has the transition of going into motherhood been for you?

Teyana: My body is changing every minute of the day. I feel it all…I embrace it all…I love what is to come of it.

You kept this a secret, why is that?

Iman: It was never a secret. We as parents-to-be wanted the moment of people finding out we were expecting a child to be special. This is not a story or an exclusive — it’s a celebration of life and that should be respected. We don’t want any negative light put on someone so innocent and so precious.

Do you know what you’re having?

Teyana: We are expecting a baby girl!

Have you already started picking out baby names?

Iman: Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr

Will you be part of the MILF club? Play dates with other celebrity moms?

Teyana: Hahaha. I don’t know if I want to be in a MILF club or anything. But I definitely know my daughter will have plenty of little friends to hang around thinking of all my celeb friends that already have their own beautiful children.

Can we expect you to take a hiatus when the baby is born, or are you going to continue working?

Teyana: No, no, no the work does not stop!!! Lol The studio will be built in the house and music already calms my daughter when she’s upset. I’m sure the records will be coming. It’s crazy because my 3rd & 4th month the only thing that would calm baby girl down was hearing her father sing a ceelo song to her [laughs] and also I’d play Sade on my phone and lay it on my stomach.
