LeBron James is giving back in a major way. The NBA superstar is set to give over 1,000 the opportunity to pursue a higher education by covering their entire college tuition.
Thursday LeBron James made the announcement through his foundation. He plans to team up with University of Akron to fully sponsor more than 1,000 scholarships for children who are apart of his I Promise program.

Via ESPN:

“I think it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever been apart of, this is very special to me. As a kid growing up in the inner city and as an African American kid, you don’t really think past high school because it’s not possible or your family can’t support you. For us to be able to do something like this … it means so much.” James sat down with “Today” on NBC to speak more on the program.

James is winning on and off the court by providing a huge opportunity for children while spreading positivity.
