The plot thickens. Birdman is denying any sort of involvement in the Lil Wayne bus shooting that took place this past April, despite rumors and police documents tying him into the whole thing.

Sources close to both Wayne and Birdman say that while Birdman did receive a call shortly after the shooting, it wasn’t to parade about the incident, but rather to inform Birdman of what happened. The person who called was visibly upset and told Birdman that Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, the alleged shooter, was kicked out of the club for harassing Wayne. Winfrey was later arrested and charged with the shooting.

TMZ is also reporting that Birdman has told Wayne that he was certainly not involved and that he would do whatever he could to help figure out the whole thing.

Lastly it should be made clear that the phones being registered to Birdman is not surprising since they’re company phones. Everyone using them (Wayne’s people, Birdman and even Winfrey) is associated with Cash Money or Young Money one way or the other.
