According to Music Ally, Facebook is reportedly planning to launch their own streaming service to compete with the other major players in the industry, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc. Sources say that Facebook, more known for connecting millions with friends and family, will test a new monetization strategy where they plan to make money off of

Although the idea of Facebook entering into the music streaming service world maybe a bit underdeveloped, Music Ally thinks that the steps that Facebook are taking to monetize their video content will lead them in the direction of music streaming. “It’s a mass land grab. Facebook going into the video space was always going to be an enormous, ambitious land grab,” an anonymous source said via Music Ally.
