Whether you realize it or not, Rico Love has played a major role in the creation of some of your favorite hip-hop & R&B songs through his songwriting. You know, “Dilemma,” “Love Like This,” “There Goes My Baby” — all of those and many more are thanks to Rico’s pen game.

Over the years, the hit-maker has contributed to the substantial works of Usher, Brandy, Keri Hilson, Diddy, etc., but the time has come for Rico to shine on his own. On May 19th, fans will finally be able to hear Rico’s highly anticipated album Turn The Lights On and Rico couldn’t be more focused.

During our exclusive interview with the songwriter, Rico shares his raw thoughts on working with Usher presently, being a black artist in the R&B market, why Tidal could be a great opportunity, and what he gave to another artist he wished he kept for himself.
