Birthdays are for the turn up. In celebration of his own, DJ Stevie J claimed New York for a full weekend kicking off Wednesday at G5IVE – a spot different from his usual South Beach vibe.

“I just wanted to celebrate it with my family, my friends and most importantly with the people that support me,” he said.

Celebrating his life with friends and family, DJ Stevie J  was joined by various artists throughout his weekend of events including 2 Chainz, Troy Ave and Lil Wayne. Capping  his weekend with some community service, he hosted and played in his first charity basketball tournament to benefit single mothers.

“It’s basically about single mother’s taking care of their family. Doing whatever they got to do to make  sure everybody’s alright. Creating your own hustle because I done witnessed that coming up in my own life,” he explains.

Ending the weekend in a Miami staple, DJ Stevie J claimed the stage at Liv on Sunday with a packed house and mother in attendance. Check out his star-studded birthday affair in the visual above to see what stars came out and showed love.
