Lil Wayne offers just enough to keep us wondering. The rapper has used social media as his platform to express what’s on his mind. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Weezy covers a wide scope from his cryptic tweets to possible retirement.
“I love being a prisoner in some pussy. That’s what I meant. I’m human,” he said in regards to his “I’m a prisoner” tweet back in December. “But it’s nothing that a good blunt can’t cure.”
The veteran MC even showed his growing age, admitting that he relies on his daughter, Reginae Carter, to clue him in on what these young folks are saying nowadays. “I like Rae Sremmurd and Migos. Sometimes I don’t know what the hell they’re talking about on Instagram,” he said. “I had to call her, like, ‘What the hell is “on fleek”?’”
We can rest assured, however, that there is still music to be heard from Lil Wayne as he continues to work on the Free Weezy Album daily. “I’m working on it every day, man,” he said. “I guarantee it’s going to be something dope. If you don’t want a musician being creative, don’t get The Free Weezy Album.”
