Kanye West On Beck’s ‘Album of the Year’ Win: “It’s disrespectful to inspiration.”

When Kanye West started to take over the stage after Beck received the award for Album of the Year, the world silently rejoiced. Ye didn’t have to say what the masses undoubtedly agreed – his presence alone made it known.

Shortly after the 57th annual Grammy Awards ended, KimYe appeared on E! News’ post-Grammy wrap-up show. Fans anxiously awaited the chat considering it will be opportune time for the rapper to speak his thoughts.

“I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t gonna play with them no more,” Kanye told hosts Terrance Jenkins, Khloe Kardashian, Christina Milian and Zanna Roberts Rossi. “And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should’ve given his award to Beyonce.”

“It’s disrespectful to inspiration, and we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work everyday….and listen to Beyoncé and they feel like it takes them to another place,” he continued.
