A$AP Rocky has his hands in everything from rap to fashion. It comes as no surprise that the Harlem native would eventually be reeled in for a movie role or two. Starring in Dope, set to premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival this week, Rocky will kick off his new acting career.

According to IMDB, Dope is described as a coming-of-age comedy/drama for the post hip-hop generation. The Rick Famuyiwa (Brown Sugar) directed film also stars Zoë Kravitz, Blake Anderson, Shameik Moore and Forest Whitaker who co-produced the movie alongside Pharrell and Diddy.

The hip-hop appearances also include Tyga, Casey Veggies, Vince Staples and the rapper’s ex-girlfriend Chanel Iman. Check out the trailer above.
