Early year trouble for Eminem has arrived. Back in 2007, Chicago rap group Hotstylz released their hit record “Lookin Boy.” Back in 2013, Eminem shattered records with his new single “Rap God” and the Chi-town group simply cannot help but notice similarities between the two records.

In response to the wrongdoing, Hotstylz – made up of Raydio G, Krazee and Meatball – released a diss record titled “Rap Fraud” addressing Em. Now, the group is taking matters up a notch with a lawsuit against the Detroit rapper and his record label for using a sample of their songs without their permission, according to a TMZ report.

In an interview with XXL in Nov. 2013, Meatball revealed the group’s main issue with Eminem was the simple fact he never reached out to them for the sample or mention them in the track.”Yeah, out of respect, just pay homage. People are going to say, “Oh, he shouting y’all out and y’all one hit wonders and y’all should be happy that he did something.” But at the end of the day, it’s all about respect,” he said.

Raydio G is suing the 8 Mile rapper and Shady Records for $8 million after he allegedly sampled 25 seconds of “Lookin Boy” in the middle of “Rap God.” Eminem has not yet spoken on the matter.
