Brad Pitt Makes Sure We Never Mispronounce David Oyelowo’s Name Ever Again

With 2015 finally upon us, award season follows suit. The first film-award ceremony took place over the weekend giving reason for many to want sing out loud. Brad Pitt, an honoree himself, brought his singing talents to the stage for the Palm Springs International Film Festival for a very special introduction.

Pitt, a producer of director Ava DuVernay’s historic film Selma, made the trip from L.A. to Palm Springs to introduce leading actor David Oyelowo. The festival honored Oyelowo with its Breakthrough Performance Award for his role as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the film.

Before inviting Oyelowo on stage, Pitt detailed his level of admiration and respect he has for the actor as both a colleague and friend. To ensure that no one would ever butcher his last name, Brad Pitt invited the guests to sing a long to help with the pronunciation. Press play.
