Earlier this year, the hashtag #PinkWig4Miyah and #HelpMiyahMeetNicki took over social media. The Instagram operation started after the then five-year-old Miyah met with NBA All-Star John Wall. She communicated to the Washington Wizards star that she wished to adorn one of the head Barbz pink wigs.

Her request did not got unfulfilled as the “Pills ‘N Potions” rapper flew out to meet Miyah – who suffered from Burkitts Lymphoma – and her mom where she crowned her with one of the infamous wigs. “Looks like operation #helpMiyahMeetNicki was a success! #PinkWig4Miyah ~ Thank you @john_wall  she’s perfect!,” she captioned an Instagram flick.

Today (Dec. 9), Nicki joins Wall in remembering Miyah who lost her battle to cancer Monday (Dec. 8). The Queens rapper posted a collage featuring images from her visit and other photos.

“I can’t believe this little angel is gone. When I met her she was recovering. Sending love to her mother and family and John. This is heartbreaking. She was so full of life. #RIPMiyah,” she wrote. 

Last night (Dec. 8), after a double-overtime victory over the Boston Celtics, Wall broke down in tears during his post-game interview. “This game was really meant for her. It would’ve been an even tougher day to lose it,”he said. “I just went into a mode where I didn’t want to lose this game.”
