St. Louis Rams Support ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’ Ferguson Movement
by Staff Editor
Athletes are often looked at as representatives of the cities they play for. A group of NFL players from the St. Louis Rams wanted to let the citizens of nearby Ferguson, MO know that they represent them as well.
Before their game against the Oakland Raiders this afternoon, players from the Rams came out with their hands in the air to show support of the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” movement protestors in Ferguson have made their trademark while voicing their opinion about Darren Wilson’s killing of Michael Brown.
Tavon Austin and Kenny Brittt also brought the gesture back in the form of a touchdown celebration later in the game.
