The backlash from Lifetime’s Aaliyah movie continues to pour in with producer Timbaland also speaking out against the film. In a chat with Ebro in the AM, the producer explained that he initially attempted to ignore the movie but couldn’t due to the response from Aaliyah’s true fans. Utilizing Instagram, Timb weighed into the virtual conversation with a meme.

“I just think it was done wrong,” he tells the radio hosts. “I think I let my emotions get the best of me on some things.”
