With the 45th anniversary season of “The Sesame Street” taking place this year, Janelle Monáe made a surprise appearance on a new episode set to premiere on September 16th. On this episode, Janelle sings a catchy and motivational new tune titled “The Power Of Yet,” which aims to inspire our favorite Sesame Street characters Bert, Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie, Grover and more to do their best and that ‘the power of yet’ is right around the corner. Here’s what Janelle had to say about it:

“I am so excited to be living one of my dreams—to be here on ‘Sesame Street,'” Monáe told Billboard. “I’m here because I am teaching everybody on ‘Sesame Street’ the importance and the power of ‘yet.’ Never, ever, ever give up because there’s so much power in ‘yet.”
