Say it isn’t so. TMZ reports that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have begun divorce proceedings and have been separated for months. Sources close to the couple revealed to TMZ that Mariah and Nick have been residing in separate houses in New York City since May. The friction was allegedly caused by the Wild N’ Out star’s interview with Big Boy’s radio show in March. During their conversation, he revealed five celebrity women he had sex with including: Mariah Carey, Selita Ebanks, Kim Kardashian, Christina Milian and Nicole Scherzinger. TMZ’s sources claim it was the Kim Kardashian revelation that drove the two apart.

On a sit-down with Howard Stern after the Big Boy interview, Nick explained that while his wife doesn’t mind him talking about their personal sex life it does bother her when he brings up the past. “She doesn’t care when I talk about our sex life, because our sex life is amazing. She’s one of the most beautiful women in the world,” he explained. “But when we bring up – I’m not gonna do it – other people’s names, she’s like, ‘Why would you even do that?'”
