Migos Shooting in Gwinnett County

Could an issue between Migos and a rival group named 2G led to a man’s death? WSB-TV Atlanta reports Gwinney County investigators believe the murder of Paris Brown on June 11 could be tied to the rising rap group. The man was gunned down outside of Venture Drive Quality Inn, a believed victim of a stray bullet that was fired between two men. Brown was believed to be a supporter of Migos.

Cpl .Deon Washington stated that Migos member Kiara Cephus is believed to be the intended target of the shooting. Washington questioned Cephus but unfortunately didn’t receive much help in his investigation disclosing that Cephus appeared to be more interested in upholding his street creed.

“We know he was there, however he would not cooperate with the police investigation,” Washington said. “We want to end this as quickly as we can.”

Surveillance video captured two men walking to the scene of the crime carrying guns and later on running back while still firing rounds. Cory Marzette, an affiliate of the rival rap group 2G, has been identified as one of the shooters in the incident and has been charged. The battle between the two rap groups has been reportedly going on for the past six months within Gwinnett County.
