Tyler, The Creator is the latest rapper to sit-down with Larry King for some rapid fire questions. The Odd Future frontman withheld nothing as he discussed growing up without a father, his stance on the N-word, Mountain Dew and why he prefers his name not be mentioned with other rappers.

“I want people to mention my name next to Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino. I don’t want my name to be mentioned next to other rappers at all,” he said.

The rapper-actor actually wants to pursue singing but realizes his voice doesn’t fit the tone for what he wishes to pursue. “I really want to sing but my tone of voice is too deep to do what I want.”

Tyler admits that he was worried for this interview since he actively pursues other ventures in hopes of not being categorized as a rapper. The Loiter Squad star also told Larry King that when it comes to the N-word or any word for that matter he has no issues to raise.

“I don’t really think twice about it, it’s just words man,” Tyler said.
