Maybe not, but in the latest Beats By Dre commercial, advertising the awesome new Pill and Pill XL speakers, Dr. Dre and his protege Kendrick Lamar find themselves in the studio working on a dope new track.

K. Dot’s not feeling the energy right away, so him and Dre decide to sleep on it. Fast-forward to the next day, Kendrick’s barbershop shenaningans gets interrupted with a call from Dre to head back to the studio for the final product. Even if this new heater isn’t intended for the long-awaited Detox, the Doc and Kendrick have a banger on their hands. — Jason Holzman
