RapGenius.com can continue to curate lyrics as the site has officially obtained a license from Sony/ATV.

The hip-hop lyrics website was one of various sites that received notice from the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) to remove all hip-hop lyrics from their sites unless they obtained a license. RapGenius.com founder, Tom Lehman, believes that with more licensing deals relationships with artists “will only grow stronger.”

Lehman describes his site as a resource that “adds context to all important texts in people’s lives.” The site also features rock, poetry and news. – Alley Olivier
