Last night (Oct. 5), Miley Cyrus was the host for NBC’s Saturday Night Live. With all the recent news surrounding Miley and her maturing personality, it would be interesting to see what the 20-year-old pop star would add to the weekend comedy staple.

The Bangerz singer participated in a few of the show’s skits, which included a meeting of herself during the Hannah Montana years before taking the stage at the MTV VMA Awards and a spoof of her “We Can’t Stop” video centered around the government shutdown.

Also doubling as the guest performer, Miley performed “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop” during the show. Check out both performances after the jump.
