The sequel release for one of the greatest black romance comedies of the late 90’s The Best Man, is nearly a month away and the cast can hardly wait! The original cast returns as they give us a taste of elegance for ‘The Men’s Issue’ of EBONY Magazine for their upcoming film, The Best Man Holiday.

The Malcolm D. Lee-directed film returns picking up right where all of the old story lines left us back in 1999, when the original film was released. 14 years later the original cast is back just in time for the holiday season, and are pictured on alternative covers for the limited edition magazine. In the article, the sultry ladies of the film, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Monica Calhoun, Regina Hall, and Melissa De Sousa reveal behind-the-scenes secrets between the cast, as well as what the faithful fans of the movie can look forward to.

“In this film, secrets come out, and it’s scary,” says De Sousa who plays ‘Shelby’, the crazy ex of ‘Julian Merch’ played by Malcolm Perrineau. “There’s also a sad surprise that makes my stomach hurt thinking about it.”

Of course, the sequel wouldn’t be the same without the dapper men of the cast, Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard, Malcolm Perrineau, and heartthrob Taye Diggs. The gentlemen of the cast knew that their fans were ready for the second installment of positive black love and mysterious storyline with the cast we all grew to love.
