It”s been an interesting week for music globally, for like two days the world, well the UK, delved into Drake’s leaked third studio album NWTS . But for us it made for great discussion. Especially with the state of our music scene.

Whilst Ace Hood rocked the O2 Indigo and Kendrick Lamar, SchoolBoyQ and Janelle Monaé rocked iTunes Festival, our home grown talent were also at work. South London lyricists Tinyman unveiled the visuals for his new cut; The Vibe. The video acts as a ‘day in the life of ‘ the young lyricist.

Filmed over the summer, it seemed like Tinyman got up to all sorts of shenanigans; partying with friends, performing and riding quad-bikes. The fun video compliments the titled cut and is available for free download on soundcloud.

Another unexpected treat came in the form of Spare Parts II from Amlify Dot. The South London hailing rapper who is currently representing for the females released a mixtape for free download as she gears up for her debut album release, Paper Cuts. The mixtape is hosted by BBC Radio 1xtra DJ Charlie Sloth; the follow up to her Spare Parts mixtape released late last year. Download Spare Parts II now.

Finally, Ghetts, formerly know as Ghetto, lyricist for the Unheard, released his “Feel Inside” cut for free download. Premiered during his “Fire In The Booth” with Charlie Sloth, the mellow soulful Loudmouth Melvin produced sees the reformed emcee speak about the pressures of conforming in the music industry and how he dealt with some obstacles.

The track got widespread attention including a tweet from Chris Brown (since deleted)  ‘Keep Going’ to the grime pioneer. His current single ‘ Party Animal with Kano is out November 3rd following for  forthcoming album Rebel With A Cause’ out next year
