1. Ariana Grande – Yours Truly – 138,000 (138,000) – For popular as she’s become nowadays, it still trips me out that that’s NOT Mariah when I hear her on the radio.

2. Tamar Braxton – Love & War – 115,000 (115,000) – Reality TV won. Seriously though, a lot of my lady friends who have heard the album have given some pretty high compliments to this CD.

4. John Legend – Love in the Future – 68,000 (68,000) – Don’t look now, but the fall will more than its fair share of quality R&B albums. LITF being one of them.

6. Jaheim – Appreciation Day – 58,000 – To keep it 100, this may be a great CD, but I’ve only got one question. Does he give any sort of rhyme or reason as to why he wore that Grimace from McDonald’s suit to Whitney Houston’s funeral?

15. Juicy J – Stay Trippy – 22,000 (86,000) – Don’t sleep, this is one of the more enjoyable projects of the year. Juicy really stays in his lane on this one.

18. Jay Z – Magna Carta Holy Grail – 20,000 (957,000) – While I could say I don’t listen to this album nearly as much as I expected to back in June, I’m going to see Jay next January on tour, so I’ve plenty of time to brush up.

24. Big Sean – Hall of Fame – 18,000 (89,000) – Wow.

27. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – The Heist – 16,000 (1,057,000) – The question is now, how do they top this?

55. Kendrick Lamar – good kid, m.A.A.d. city – 7,000 (1,027,000) – That “Control” verse still has people up in arms, huh? Kendrick’s giving away all this free publicity and he doesn’t even have an album coming out. That’s sort of refreshing to realize that, too. On a related note, you know who I’d like to see Kendrick trade a few bars with? Freddie Gibbs.

87. A$AP Ferg – Trap Lord – 9,000 (46,000) – “Shabba Ranks” was a dope follow-up single to “Work.” That’s about all I’ve got.

92. Earl Sweatshirt – Doris – 4,000 (62,000) – Push the music aside for a second, Earl’s Drake obsession was the funniest/most awkward thing I’ve seen in a minute.
