Television network FX has just signed a major production deal with Dr. Dre to produce a TV show about Los Angeles, seen through the eyes of both the crime world and the music business. Check out the rest of the story after the jump.

TheWrap.com reports that Dre will executive produce the one-hour drama along with Sidney Quashie. Quashie wrote the documentary “The Boston College Fix,” and according to what appears to be his LinkedIn page, has written and produced several pilots for NBC/Universal.

Unfortunately we have no word on when writing will begin, or when the show might will air.
