Kanye West has decided to take his talents and his film to Cannes, France for the Cannes Film Festival. The film, entitled “Cruel Summer” will be shown on May 23rd and is a “combination of an art installation and a short film which is inspired by the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation. The film is also said to be a part of his design company DONDA named after his late mother Donda West.

Remaining true to his tweet in January, “Cruel Summer” will include a 7Screen Experience.

In addition, the entire film was written, produced, and directed by Kanye and it was filmed in Qatar earlier this year. Cameo appearances are made by Kid Cudi and Aziz Ansari. Tickets to the film’s showings are able to be purchased from Kanye’s Website.

This is Kanye’s second film, as we all remember “Runaway” the 35 minute film that featured Selita Ebanks which was released in conjunction with his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Album.

You can catch Mr. West all over Europe these days. He is also about to begin the European leg of the Watch The Throne Tour with Jay-Z.
