Our poor Rih Rih can’t seem to catch a break! First with Rihanna’s risqué S&M video, to her naughty Billboard Music Awards performance and now the debut of her long-anticipated ‘Man Down‘ video. The Parents Television Council voiced their distaste of the “cold, calculated execution of murder” in her brand new music video. The organization is outraged that Rihanna would suggest that gunning down a rapist in a crowded trainstation is a proper form of justice, but even more so with her tweet to the fans that the video contained, “a very strong underlying message 4 girls like me.”

Another watchdog group ,”Industry Ears“, claimed that if Chris Brown were to make a video that paralleled the message of Rihanna’s it would never see the light of day:

“If Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and BET premiered it, the world would stop. Rihanna should not get a pass …”

  1. Some movies suggest much worse, and it’s no big deal. So why always blame music videos?
