Remember Sonyae Elise? Of course you do. She’s the beautiful singer under the tutelage of Midi Mafia Karen caught up with last summer. Turns out she’s starting 2011 off on a rebellious note, which is most definitely a good thing. “Lady Rebel” is a song that may take some getting used to, but it’s unlike a lot of stuff that’s currently in rotation at the moment. For one, the song has a tribal feel with the drums and chants. Secondly, she shows her versatility by coming with an aggressive record like this when she made waves for her emotional record “Human Error” last year. It should be an interesting next 11 and a half months for this New Jersey native.
