With the year winding down and “best of” lists popping up everywhere, MTV News decided to do something a tad different. Instead of congratulating musicians for their accomplishments in 2010, they decided to honor those who help keep the daily stream of info on your favorite artists at high levels.

DJ Scoob Doo – for his constant coverage of everything Young Money from the making of No Ceilings, to his Road To Rikers series and his Nino Brown DVDs – and Jason “Flx” Smith – for his coverage of the biggest southern artists in the game – were honored. However, I was bestowed the honor as well for basically keeping everyone sane during Wayne’s incarceration with his WeezyThanxYou blog.

Speaking of WeezyThanxYou, we have to give a special thanks to hip-hop’ s “Blossom” Karen Civil. The blog and entrepreneur kept us abreast on all things Lil Wayne and Young Money-related, tipping us off to the launch of Wayne’s blog, which she helped to created with Karla “hustleGRL” Moy, and providing us with a direct line into YM Prez Mack Maine. Over the past 12 months she delivered for 1515 like UPS.

Thank You To Everyone at MTV; Hillary, Jayson, Rahman & Sway at MTV! As well as Shaheem Reid.
