Back in May, it was rumored that Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, was banned from returning to the United States for unclear “immigration/legal” issues, leaving the U.S. quite confused. Well, it looks like those rumors can officially be put to rest.

Making his return to the entertainment world, Dave Chappelle performed live at Radio City Music Hall in NYC last evening (June 27). Taking fans by surprise, Yasiin Bey joined the legendary comedian on stage for a much needed, OG performance. The only footage we have are some Instagram clips of Yasiin’s performances, so for now we don’t know if he addressed the immigration/legal issues and the alleged banning from returning to the U.S.

But, regardless, Yasiin Bey was alive and well in the United States, performing in front of thousands, so it’s safe to say that he is in fact not banned from returning to the United States. What a relief.
