Pharrell Williams Performing at Coachella

After the epic return of Outkast Friday night, the hottest artist on the planet, Pharrell, took over the Coachella stage with his solo set.  Sporting the infamous hat, Pharrell ran through a mix of his current jams, some throwbacks and classic Neptunes produced jams which were assisted by friends ranging from Nelly to Tyler, the Creator and a surprise return of Gwen Stefani.

Fans of the G I R L album were able to enjoy tracks from the album like “Come Get It Bae,” “Marilyn Monroe” and the set closing “Happy,” but Pharrell’s dips into the past were just as dazzling.

Among the surprise appearances that delighted the crowd were: Snoop Dogg for “Beautiful” and “Drop It Like Its Hot,” Nelly for “Hot In Herre,” Busta Rhymes and Diddy for “Pass The Courvoisier, Pt. II,” Diplo for “Aeresol Can,” and Tyler, the Creator joining Mr. Williams for N.E.R.D.’s “Lapdance.”

With a stack of A-Lister’s in his set, the biggest surprise may have been the return to music for Gwen Stefani. Stefani capped her return Coachela music with her classic “Hollaback Girl.”
